The Miwok Trail 100K - Rodeo Beach to Randall Trailhead and Back

Marin County, California

One of the most beautiful 100K trail runs in the USA. It starts in the Marin Headlands, passes over several high ridges, giving views of San Francisco, Mount Tamalpais State Park, the nearby Pacific Ocean coast, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and Point Reyes National Seashore.

The photographs below show the route of the trail, in sequence, from Rodeo Beach (Fort Kronkite Beach) to the Randall Trailhead turnaround and back. The return route is NOT always the same as the route outbound. Most intersections with other trails or roads are shown to help the hiker or runner avoid wrong turns. The route depicted is the one on maps, and described in guide books. Racers doing the annual Miwok 100K Race follow the route shown. Mileage to the locations of aid stations is placed in the upper right corner of appropriate images. There are 126 photos in all. Enjoy!
