About the Photographer... Ed Bodington has been taking photographs for many, many years. He has a treasured collection of images from an incredible variety of adventure travel destinations around the world, on every continent except Antarctica. Taught well by his perfectionist father, he has also taken many photography seminars, including those from Ernie(less is more)Braun, and Galen(Ansel Adams of color photography) Rowell. Photography Preserve your memorable occasions, pets, home, antiques, cars, items for sale, or your yacht, at the dock or underway. Photographing your yacht in action from our photoboat Omega is a specialty. Special Photo Collections DIPSEA TRAIL - This is one of the treasures of Marin County. The trail goes from Mill Valley over several ridges of Mount Tamalpais to Stinson Beach on the Pacific Coast, a distance of about 7.2 miles. The photos show the route. This is one of my favorite hikes. This Web Page is very large, containing almost 100 images,(11 MBytes); It will take a long time to load. MIWOK 100K Foot Race - The Miwok 100 is probably the most beautiful and one of the most challenging 100K races in the country. The route starts on the beach at Rodeo Lagoon/Fort Cronkite and eventually follows out Bolinas Ridge to the turnaround at the Randall Trailhead. Then it's back following a somewhat different route. The views are magnificent all along. This photo map is a work in progress, and is a very large page with over 130 images. Enjoy! Restoration and Modification You must have family photos that are faded. discolored, cracked, torn, or just plain nasty looking. They can usually be brought back to life and a new print generated in the same or different size. Check out the examples to see what can be done. (There is a limit; we can't make Jekyl look like Hyde.) Much can be done in the way of modification or enhancement of digital images. Slide Shows Need a slide show of some part of the world for your club or other organization? Ed and his wife have traveled to every continent, except Antarctica. Slide shows are available for most of these travel areas: North & South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, and the Arctic. These are not just a travelogue, but dig beneath the surface of the country and its people. Check out the list of shows - there is probably one that would be of interest. Photo Restoration
Old photographs are subject to fading, cracking, tearing, and in the case of really old Tintypes, corrosion. Through Digital Manipulation it is quite often possible to remove and/or hide many of these blemishes. We show two examples of restoration. The first image is a very dark, old Tintype that has severe corrosion all over the lower quarter of the image plus bad spots in general. The second image is a sepia toned photograph of a storefront that is badly faded and fogged all around the edge. Restorations such as these take from one to two hours to accomplish.

Modifications -
